Mr Ingram ran a very cool assembly about 'making it better' and inspired the Coronet students to help out around the school. If they do step up and help out, they become 'M.I.B.' agents like in the movie Men in Black. Just need to buy lots of shades!

Concept - All Hands on Deck!
PE - Small Sided Games
The students in Coronet have been working hard on their ball skills of passing and recieving. We then progressed onto passing and moving up and down the court. Now, it's about applying these skills to a small game which took a bit of getting used to, but it didn't take long before goals were being scored regularly! 👍

Time to create!
The time of exploring mechanisms is over. It's time to create and build! Over the next couple of weeks the students wil be given the opportunity to build a prototype of their mechanism. This will require time and lots of materials. Please support your child with discussing their mechanism and helping them to find resources, if needed. It is going to be a lot of fun and fascinating to see what they build! 😃

A visit from a magician!
Yesterday we had a visit from El Gregio the Magician.
As well as some super cool tricks he also had an important message to share about being kind to others.
We learnt that "Hands are for helping, not for hurting."
We also learnt about using our WITS.
W = walk away
I = ignore
T = talk it out
S = seek help

Tinkering Evolves!
Tinkering is becoming more purposeful with students wanting to continue with more personal tasks. Many of our students wanted to finish off publishing their writing on Google Docs. Some students wanted to continue exploring an inclined plane with Lego vehicles and many enjoyed the opportunity to explore some science and art too! Wow, what a wonderful range of opportunities. 😍
